Over 60 Years of Innovation
With over 60 years of experience, VIRO EPS SYSTEMS has established itself as a leading global supplier and trusted partner for Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) converters. Our core philosophy is defined by a balance of progress and tradition. We work closely with processors across the globe to drive the continuous development of machinery that enhances production efficiency and profitability. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of a complete range of fully automated solutions for the EPS, XPS, PUR/PIR, and Mineral Wool industries, helping our customers optimize output while meeting specific project requirements.
Our expertise is built on a rich heritage, drawing on the history of WIESER (established in 1958) and VIRO. Our journey officially began in 1964 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, when Vili and Vika Rotter founded a workshop producing metal products and holiday decorations. A pivotal moment occurred in 1966 with the development of our first PE bag sealer, transitioning the company into the packaging technology sector. By 1970, steady growth allowed us to move into our own workshop in Koseze, steadily expanding our production capabilities.

In 1991, Damjan Rotter took over leadership, igniting a new era of rapid development that led to the creation of our first dedicated packaging machine. To support our ongoing expansion, we built a new factory in Vrhnika in 1998. We revolutionized the market by developing our first automatic EPS processing line, which introduced automated unloading, packaging, and palletizing. In 2004, the decades of industry expertise from WIESER and VIRO were officially combined under the VIRO EPS SYSTEMS brand. By 2006, we relocated to our current headquarters in Logatec.
In 2024, we celebrated our 60th anniversary. Today, with a total production area of nearly 10.000 m², our deep tradition continues to fuel our commitment to quality, sustainable development, and a clear vision for the future of your production.
